At Cleary Gull, we believe that a foundation or endowment's investment decision process should follow a methodical, disciplined approach:

• Create an investment policy statement
• Determine your core asset allocation strategy 
• Evaluate and select money managers (or, where appropriate, mutual funds) from within asset classes to execute the strategy 
• Monitor investment and manager performance and make changes as required, rebalancing the portfolio when appropriate
